A delicious aroma and flavour of rich, red, ripe tomatoes; add greater intensity to any tomato based sauce or dish. Give the flakes time to rehydrate by adding at the beginning of cooking. Add anywhere a recipe calls for chopped, sun dried tomatoes; bolognese, soups, stews, chilli and pasta sauces. Try them sprinkled in couscous, quinoa, on top of pizza, in savoury breads and muffins and in salads for little crunches of tomato flavour.
If you enjoy making your own spice blends tomato flakes can add a real depth of rich flavour.
