Creole Seasoning

Our Creole has a smoky, garlic flavour with herb undertones and a punch from the heat of Cayenne.  Fantastic as a seasoning on chips, baked potatoes and wedges, a sure-fire BBQ winner when used as a dry rub and the spice blend of choice for Jambalaya, Gumbo and other creole inspired dishes.

 

Recipe
For a super quick Creole flavour dish, try this easy recipe:

Creole Prawn Rolls
350-400g cooked prawns
½ lettuce, shredded
120ml mayonnaise
30g sun-dried tomatoes
1 tsp Creole seasoning
4 long sandwich rolls

In a large bowl, combine the prawns, lettuce, mayonnaise, sun-dried tomatoes and Creole seasoning with a spoon. Mix well. Spoon the mixture onto the rolls and serve immediately.

Try substituting the prawns with grilled, and chopped bacon (half the mayo) and dice fresh tomatoes in place of dried for a Creole BLT... delicious!

     

    Ingredients
    Smoked Paprika, Onion Powder, Garlic, Oregano, Basil, Thyme, Black Pepper, White Pepper, Cayenne, Salt.  Produce of more than one country, blended in Devon, UK.

    Storage
    Over time the essential oils and aromatics in the Creole blend will fade and the balance of flavours change. Keep for up to 2 years in cool, dark, dry conditions in an airtight container. Please use by the BB4 date on your package.
