Bassar Masala

Spicy and full of flavour this masala blend is based on a recipe that is used extensively throughout Pakistan and Kashmir.

Bassar Masala packs a punch with chilli as the main ingredient along with herbs and spices that make for an aromatic earthy warmth that's typically Indian. 

A very easy way to use Bassar Masala is to use it gram for gram as an alternative to chilli powder in many recipes (especially Indian and some Mexican cuisines); it will add the heat of chilli with the depth of the masala blend.   Click here for a spicy Bassar Masala curry recipe.

Chilli, Coriander, Turmeric, Fenugreek Leaves, Cumin, Mustard , Bay Leaves, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Cloves, Fenugreek, Nutmeg, Asafoetida. Bassar Masala is produced with herbs and spices from more than one country, packed in the UK.

Over time the essential oils, aromatics and colour of your herbs will fade and the flavours change.  Though you may keep them for up to 2 years in cool, dark, dry conditions in an airtight container.  Please use by the BB4 date on your package.
